[edit] Description
Easy entry (via the boat ramp) and mild current make this shore dive a popular check-out spot for open water courses. There are lots of fish and the wreck of a small rowboat at this site.
This spot is also known as Blockhouse Bay.
[edit] Access
Gear up on shore by the pine trees and enter by the boat ramp. Be careful, the boat ramp is slippery and the concrete has a large crack running the width of the ramp at a depth of approximately 3 feet. Don't get your leg twisted in it. The safest entry strategy is to wade into the water a very short way and then simply sit down and drift out.
Be sure to pay for parking here, or you are likely to get a fine.
[edit] Hazards
Boat traffic is the main hazard here. Be sure to fly a diver's down flag.
When entering at the boat ramp, be careful not to fall and/or get your leg caught in the crack.
