3km, south of Port Hope, Lake Ontario

Current: Generally no current, a few occasions, thermal movement has created a stiff current Depth: 80ft Visibility: Most times excellent Water temperature: Most times COLD below the thermalclime

[edit] Description

  • Wreck is a schooner barge
  • Sunk fall of 1912 during a storm, while being tugged by the Juno which sank the next day in Cobourg harbour, and now rests just off Bowmanville shore line.
  • Wrecks hull is split, weight of the lime stone load it was carrying from Quinte area mine. Center structure and rudder are still up right.
  • VERY large anchor on the starboard bow, a few dead eyes, blocks still visible.
  • Boiler on the Port bow side
  • Port stern area, wood stove with china ware.
  • Starboard stern, ships wheel with brass end caps still intact
