[edit] Description

The barge, thought to be a ferry by some, is sitting upright on a sandy bottom and has filled with sand over the years. The barge is mostly filled with sand, the deck has some planking missing which allows one to view the interior. Additionally, there is an access hatch and short ladder running from the deck into the hull.

This site has plenty of marine life as well.

Shore Dive.

Located in Petawawa, 100m north of the Victoria and Albert Street intersection. Park on the road and take one of the trails that lead you to the river's edge.

[edit] Hazards

This site is located at an elbow in the river and as such the current is reduced comparative to the rest of the river however, the current is strong and this site should only be dove during times when the water level is low. (e.g., late summer)

Due to the abundant marine life, one can find many fishing lures and as such pay attention for fishing lines.
