[edit] Description
This popular site can be dove several different ways. In the immediate area there is a scuba playground with a line that leads to a set of stairs, 2 big anchors, and a sailboat. This line starts at the entry stairs and makes a U shape that leads back to the seawall approximately 100' downstream. Following this line takes roughly 15-20 minutes. On busy days this can be good practice in tracking a line in low visibility.
This site can also be done as a drift dive. Follow the line out to a depth of 40' and then drift downstream 30-40 minutes, exit by heading north (to your left when facing downstream) and walk back to the docks along the bicycle path.
This site is also known as the scuba park and Prescott Coal Docks.
[edit] Access
This is a shore dive. Park, gear up, and either take a giant stride off the seawall (approximately 6' high) or shuffle down the ramp at the east end of the parking lot.
[edit] Hazards
There is boating traffic in the area. Be sure someone is flying a diver's down flag.
